The information we provide takes time and effort to come by. We need your support to be able to invest that time and effort into providing decent information in a timely manner. We anticipate our primary source of sponsorship will come from our readers. We prefer that since it helps to prevent the advertisers from attempting to control the site.

Blue GNU offers a combination of tiered membership and advertising opportunities. While anyone can read our articles and blogs, you will need to register to post comments and access the basic forums. Beyond that, there are two ways to support the site. You can contribute at least one article per month, or you can subscribe to the site for a mere $15 per year. You can subscribe via the Paypal button in the left-hand menu.

Position Statement on Editorial Neutrality

It is our position that editorial neutrality is best accomplished, not through silence on any given issue, but through balanced, objective reporting. Thus, barring any conflicts of interest involving the subjects about which they are writing, journalists should be free to

• report on any issue of importance to the community as necessary
• express their opinions on such issues
• publicly discuss issues and subjects in which they have no conflict of interest

Thus, Blue GNU will not dictate that journalists maintain silence as the only means of maintaining editorial neutrality. That said, Blue GNU is a Free Software news and opinion site. Our reporting and editorials will naturally reflect that fact.
